The Canadian Shag Dance Championships
Ottawa, Canada - January 10th 2009!
Join us for the third annual Shag Dance Championships! Shag Explosion has been Canada's only all-Shag dance weekend and biggest Shag competition for four years now!
Here are the 2010 Canadian Shag Dance Champions:
Newcomer Jack 'n Jill
- First place: Scott Piffard (Ottawa, ON) and Gabrielle Kern (Montreal, QC)
- Second place: Jean-François Harbour and Mercedes Déziel-Hupé (Ottawa, ON)

- First place: Benoit Lapointe (Sherbrooke, QC) and Marie-Josée Paquette (Sherbrooke, QC)

We had a great line-up for CSDC, featuring:
- The Impressions in Jazz Orchestra, Ottawa's premiere professional jazz orchestra, featuring thirteen of Ottawa's top Jazz musicians!
- Authentic recreations of jazz music from the 1920's, 30's and 40's!
- Shag contests for total beginners!
- Exciting Shag contests featuring some of Canada's best Shag dancers!
